Waiting

So just waiting for my BMs to send me their sizes so I can order the BM dresses, probably from Houseofbrides.com.

Also booked my makeup/hair awhile ago, CaraSue Hall. Going to pay for two of my BMs makeup and they will pay for their hair. My sisters are doing their own makeup and hair though.

Still waiting to get the Save the Dates out once we get our Engagement Pictures done, which have been rescheduled twice. The first time because of the weather. The second time a Liberty Fruit Co. truck side swiped me on my way to get my hair/makeup done making me late for my appointment thus making us late for the pictures. When we got their my photog, Laura Kathryn Photography, decided it was too windy and there wasn't enough time because she had another appointment.

Boy was I pissed off. Not only did I just waste $75 on hair and makeup to sit at home but I also had a wrecked car (it's drivable). Grr and my STDs are going to be out way too late. Plus the rescheduled E pics are during my finals week of school...so a bit stressful.

Here's me after getting my hair and makeup done. I had to take atleast one pic after all that money.
And me and Erik. He looked so handsome.

Here is the pic of the damage to my car. I need to go get an estimate on the damages soon.

I also have my Save the Dates pretty much designed except for the picture.

Soo I continue to wait....

Bridesmaid Dresses

After much debate with my sisters and mom, I decided I still want gold as part of my BM dresses. Although, we have come to find out that it is difficult to find and is not quite the exact color I want but I think it will do.

This gold color as the sash and underlay with the chocolate dress. And then possibly the men can wear this gold matching vest from Men's Wearhouse. I'm thinking with black tuxes but Erik is leaning towards Brown tuxes. We will see though.

Woohoo! More things accomplished!

So I booked the rehearsal dinner spot..Sylvester Powell Community Center in Mission, KS. This was a hard task because we will have about 70 people and 15 of those are kids. Not very many places could fit that many without charging an arm and a leg. So now we just have to find a caterer for the dinner.

Also I found my florist, A Floral Affair. She is by far the cheapest I have found and can do beautiful flowers. I also debated about doing my own but decided it would be way to stressful. I may still do my own centerpieces which would be simple. Hopefully, my aunts or other family members could help put them out the morning of the wedding. We'll see. I still have 6 months to decide.

Yay for being productive!

First try at DIY flowers

My first try at DIY flowers did not go so well. I ran out of flowers so the bouquet didn't look so great. I'm hoping to try again, however, I do have an appointment with another florist to see if I can get a cheap price.

I am hoping to try it again. Although my friend tells me I will be too stressed to try to make my own flowers and it's worth the extra money. I have a feeling she is probably right.
