It's Over :(

Well the wedding is over. I wish I could have kept up on blogging more about the wedding planning process but working full time got in the way especially since blogs are blocked at work.

The wedding was beautiful and a lot of fun but I am sad it is over. I really enjoyed wedding planning despite the stresses. It's made me realize how much I love being creative. New hobbies have been formed.

There were a few issues on the wedding day but that is normal. Here are a few pictures from our wedding day!

Invites Done!

After hours and hours of laboring over the invites. I'm done. They are sent out and we have already gotten tons of compliments. I think I chose the wrong profession! I just may have to design and sell some! :)

DJ is booked

Finally booked the DJ last week. So glad to have that down. His name is Mike from ProCustom DJ. He is extremely affordable as well.

Still trying to figure out invitations. They are just sooo expensive to get cute ones. Thinking about designing my own.

My Bridal Shower

I had my bridal shower on June 7, 2009 in Overland Park...about 4 months before the wedding date. It was at my In law's clubhouse and hosted by my sister and my bridesmaid. It was decorated very nice and I got some really nice gifts. I'm a little bummed that it is my only shower per say and only 10 friends and family came. Unfortunately, I have a lot of out of town family and friends. Here are a few pictures from the shower! The cake and cupcakes were yummy and I ate way too much. Overall, it was a good afternoon!

Updates

Since I started my new job and a got a puppy all in the same month, I have not had much time to blog or do anything else.

I have done a few things:

The flower girl dresses are in. I'm going to remove the flower and add a gold or brown ribbon/ sash to the ivory dresses. I freaked out for a moment because the dresses are a little more ivory than my dress..but they are non-refundable so they'll have to do.
I am also meeting with a DJ this week. Hopefully, we like him because he is affordable.

Last week I met with Sharon at Town Pavilion and we walked through where things would go in the reception venue. After doing this, I'm starting to feel like it is becoming more real. Although, we still have 4 months to go!

Next up is invitations, bride/bridesmaid shoes, dye veil ivory and much more!

Save the Dates

UPDATE....most of the Save the Dates are sent, just a few here and there that we don't have addresses for yet. Starting to work on Invites!

Woohoo Finally ordered Save the Dates from Snapfish...the cheapest I could find. I hope they'll be here in a week or so. Can't wait to get these done. I'm still waiting on my parents to give me some addresses..hmm it's been 3 months since I asked...grr.
