So I felt like it was a productive weekend not only in wedding planning though. We painted the house..yay! Almost done with the whole inside of the house. As for wedding stuff, I made an appointment with a florist, set up a tasting with a caterer, called my hair salon, and talked to a bunch of DJs at the OP Bridal Show. I was hoping I'd win something at the Bridal Show but I guess not. oh well.
Also my dress will be in at the end of June! I'm so excited. Now just time to narrow down and get some venues booked...hopefully in the next two weeks! Also time to decide on the Bridesmaid dresses and get those ordered...still soo much to do!

I found my Dress
I'm so pumped! I finally found my dress. It was a lot more than I wanted to spend so hopefully I won't regret it. It is by Maggie Sottero and in ivory color. I'm also going to wear my mom's veil (but with a little TLC to fix it up). Also Erik thinks I'm crazy for how much I spent on it. Oh well! I still love it and wish it didn't take 6 months to get in. Can't wait to try it on in my size!

Engagement Pictures
We are getting are engagement pictures done in March which I'm sooo excited about! I'm still trying to decide if I should get my makeup professionally done for it or not. I think I do my makeup well but it never looks like I have a ton on. So hopefully I'll figure this out soon!
Wedding Planning Is Stressful
We are getting married October 17, 2009 :)
So I booked the reception venue a few weeks after we got engaged (Oct. 24, 2008). And let me tell you that was stressful. It's now almost Feb. and I still am working on booking the church. Who knew that being Catholic was such a pain in the butt when trying to get married. So hopefully I will have it booked by next week when the marriage lady gets back from vacation. Cross your fingers.
Recently, I have been dress shopping. I've been twice now... the first lady at Mia's was really nice but a lady at Ida's seemed annoyed with me. She kept bringing me dresses that weren't anything like I had asked. I'm hoping to go try on another dress (Paigely by Maggie Soterro) next week if the place gets back to me. Then I tried to schedule an appointment at Mia's again and they couldn't fit me in until Feb. 14..seriously Valentine's Day. So I feel bad that my mom has to come up on that day. Oh well I guess.
So basically, my wedding is 8 1/2 months away and I have the reception venue and photographer (laurakathrynphotography.com) and soon to be church. Man I have soooo much to do!
